Are more than 12 teams possible please?

I would like to have a keeper league here and use SOM's engine and website services. However, using only 12 teams and all available players seems a bit, well, less a challenge. I have an existing league that currently uses the Diamond Mind engine.
Is there a way you TSN guys could expand to say 20 to 24 teams? Or at least 16?
Personally, I think SOM and TSN would benefit greatly if they adopted a Franchise version of this game that catered more to keeper league formats. It really wouldn't be that difficult to accomplish and probably worth the extra potential revenues. That and it sure could add a marketing draw to the game.

As far as I know they have only ever offered the 12 team format. However, if you are looking for teams with a more realistic amount of talent, just play in an 80 million dollar salary cap league, or if you really want teams with mediocre talent levels try the 60 million dollar salary cap.
I do not think they are going to change the 12 team format any time soon, nor offer more options. They already offer quite a few options and any more would just water down the amount of leagues that would be able to fill. As far as keeper leagues, new ones are starting all the time. Or start one yourself, I may be interested in joining. Have fun, and keep playing.

I would love to see 16 team leagues. More challenge with style of teams, use of talent etc. Im noticing alot of leagues where 10 teams are within 4 or 5 wins all the time.

Increasing the number of teams in a league has been brought up numerous times before. I believe there's a good deal of support or having that as an option, but it's not been a priority (rightly in my mind) for the limited number of tech staff at TSN.
If there's significant enough interest, I might be up for a 24 team keeper league. The drafting might be a bit daunting, knowing how long even 12 team leagues sometimes take. It could work something like the English Premier League: Initial season by lotto, then second season top 12 records in the A League, bottom 12 in the B League.

As someone mentioned above, in lieu of 16 or more teams, the $60M concept does require a manager to deal with more scrub players. Personally I like these leagues every once in awhile, particularly in the mystery card sets where a .75M guy can occasionally break out and have a career year.

I actually have done much of the work to support bigger leagues, and I did try to gauge the interest at some point over the last year. "A good deal of support" is relative - even if we get a few dozen managers who are interested in it, which would seem like a lot anecdotally, that's not nearly enough to prove it's worth it for us to support ultimately.
Also, it'd be tough to come to a consensus on what's the ideal size for a bigger league. 16, 20, and 24 have been mentioned already in this thread.
That said, the idea just appeals to me on a personal level. In our renewed effort to empower the community, if one or more of you could take the reins and 1) prove that the interest is there, 2) determine the optimal size of the league, 3) come up with a fair, even game schedule that fits under our structure (3 games per day, no rest days, preferably more games within the division than outside)... I would definitely consider making it available.

is there issues with playoff formatting?...size of divisions etc...20 team leagues with 8 playoff teams...24 teams with 8 playoff teams sounds interesting...new concept might increase sales with seasoned vets all trying to prove abilities in super leagues etc....i have observed how fast theme leagues fill up so why not a larger size league?
