Is anyone having any luck with Ryan Howard?I'm sure not.He is killing me.I started out playing him vs RHSP and LHSP which I was warned against before the season  .Now I'm debating dropping him.I won't because its so early but I sure want to.In 189 ab's: .143/.235/.259  w/ 5 hr's 13 rbi's vs righties he's a smoking .164/.276/.307 in 140ab's  .I didn't expect a high avg in Yankee Stadium but a sub .300 slg is ridiculous.

I have him DHing in a $200 mil league, playing in Citizen's Bank Park.
After 102 games he has 36 HRs, 80 RBIs, and .227/.307/.543.
I've been using him against both lefties and righties. Doing very well against righties (.255/.345/.616), useless against lefties (.153/.197/.351) and I've found a replacement for facing lefties, he's done with them...

I have him from one end to the other...
one league he is hitting .213...in another.280+
One thing is consistent...he hits dingers! He has been in the top 4 of every league I've played

He'll sure need a hell of a run just get in the top 10 in homers in my league.Right now he's tied for 39th and on pace for 14 hr's.Only thing he's consistently doing is pissing me off.

In a keeper league I'm platooning him at DH with much success:
.297, .386, .650 with 28 hrs in 286 ABs

This is a 100mil Championship team in Yankee Stadium in which he made a pretty good contribution....to say the least... :)

Not bad,eh ?... and he had 207 AB's against lefties (hitting .290 with 18 HR's)

15.9 hit chances/28.9 OB chances/50.7 TB chances/ 10.1 HR chances
(vs. RH's)
11.8 hit chances/21.8 OB chances/ 29.7 TB chances/ 4.5 HR chances
(vs. LH's)
4e20 @ 1B.
He's a DH in my book, and over-priced at that. Heck...even Mike Jacobs would put up better #'s at DH, hitting both ways, for less $.

He did about what I expected from him. I'm fine withhis production for his price.
At US Cell: 619 ABs 88 runs 144 hits, 21 doubles, 2 triples, 58 HRs, 125 RBI, 70 BB, 215 K, .233 BA, .311 OB%, .554 SLG in full-time DH duty.
At Citizens: 586 ABs, 89 runs, 23 doubles, 4 triples, 49 HRs, 122 RBI, 68 BB, 189 K, .249 BA, .329 OB%, .553 SLG. as my full-time DH
and currently at US Cell thru 27 games:
107 AB, 21 runs, 26 hits, 3 doubles, 1 triple, 13 HRs, 24 RBI, 7 BB, 32 K, .243 BA, .287 OB% & .654 SLG
If you want HR & RBI production without an injury concern he delivers.
Batting avg., OB%, strikeouts and defense are not his obvious strong points.

I've only just begun, but after 21 games Howard is hitting .333 with 16 HRs playing home games at US Cellular. He only has 20 plate appearances against lefty's but he's hitting .400 with 3 HRs.
His 16 HR's is tops in the league followed by Ankeil and Pujols, both with 11, and both on my team also. (I also have Thames and Utley in the top 10)
