Carlos Pena

Has anyone gotten good stats from Carlos Pena in a pitchers park? Pena is available in my league. My current 1B is Chris Davis and he is in a slump. Pena would give me better defense at first base, and better hitting vs. RHP. My park is Miller Park'08.

Unless you're in a $200 million league or 70s/80s league, I would never drop a player just because he was in a slump. Unless you're in my league and division--then the more moves you make the better!

Seriously, the 20 percent drop penalty is too severe to profitably drop a big-salaried player.

Not to mention a guy like Pena with a ton of walks and power is more suited to a hitter's park.

Not sure Chris Davis really belongs in a pitching park either, but Pena definately does not.

I have James Loney as my back up 1B which I am using a little more now since he is hitting RHP better than CD (for now).

Just don't get hung up if someone is in a slump. Whether a hitter has gone 0-for-30 or just hit four homeruns in their last game, their card is exactly the same as the one you drafted--no better, no worse.
