Ok new Shea team with my last credit....

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/baseball/stratomatic/2005/team/team_other.html?user_id=54243

waivers just ended and Huff was dropped. Not only that but SF LF is still out there. Should I downgrade somewhere to get Huff, and if so play hime where? 3b?

Or should I chuck it all (downgrade Casey to Huff, Estrada to Redmond, Burnett to someone I don't know) and upgrade Hafner to Bonds?

Too many choices and I'm oh so confused.

btw, yes Young and DAvnanon are platooning in LF, as is Hafner and Giambi at DH and Merloni and Mueller at 3B.

My 2 cents FWIW:

I'd want my best/most expensive hitter to be helped out by the pitching/park.

Since you're in Shea, you are probably going to see a few LH's @ home.

So your #1 guy grabs a seat on the bench for a sub $1 million guy.

See what I mean?

I love using Bonds/Mauer and Hafner, belive it or not, in Wrigley OR Minute Maid because of the likelyhood of seeing RHSP.

You would be better off with a Gload or Broussard.

geekor-

How many LH's/RH's will you see?

What are the other divisional parks?

all hitters parks in my division, 2 BOB and 1 camden.

The Camden team is loaded with RH hitting and pitching, the other 2 are mixed. (about half LH pitching). The best LH pitching in my divsion is one guy who has O Perez (expensive one) and Davis, the other has Leiter and Sabitha.

Just too many choices and not sure what to do. I've dropped Hafner for Huff for now, till I decide which way to go. I know if I drop Casey, he will be gone asap, so I dont want to until I'm 100% which way to go.

and Visick, thanks for the advice. I know I will see more lefties in Shea, but my last (and only) 2 tries at Shea I ended up seeing 70 and 68% righties still. Maybe in a vet league that would be higher, but in autodrafts, it isn't.

My team, as it was, was slightly better vs lefties than righties. (basically I just take the averages of all the hits/tb's/hr/ ob/ bphr/, etc for slots 1-9. I always try to get a team that has on average 30 hits and 40 ob and 40 tb's. min. This team was a lil low on hits, but otherwise in good shape. What it was lacking was power, very little power on average (only about 2 hr's), which is what I'd like to fix! In fact the power was worse vs righties than lefties, something a team loaded with lh hitters shouldn't be.

I see.

Didn't know it was an AD league. Still with Huff, he's good enough with those hitting parks.

Don't drop Casey!

What FA's (hitting) are still available?

I would love to be able to see a home/away breakdown of LH/RH's faced.

I know that over the course of the season, you'll see more RH's than LH's.
It usually works out like way.

I was in an AD league once, and played @ Shea. When the season ended, I faced almost 1/3 more LH's THAN RH's. (Only Shea team in division, other Shea team in another division).

Like I said geekor, FWIW I just don't want my most expensive hitter sitting down because a LHSP is in MY own park.

I went to Strat Resources and entered your League ID.

Lotsa good hitters still left that would rake @ Shea AND your division...ie.

Broussard
Walker
Lamb
Belliard (2B's machine)
Klesko

Well I picked up Lieber, cause 2 of the teams in my division have 6+ RH hitters. I figure he should be a decent compliment to Willis for the Road games.

So if I put Huff at 3b, that means I have almost 6.3 mil for a DH. I could platoon Nixon and Giambi, and put the rest of my $$ into the bullpen (there aint crap in SP left really).
