Has anyone ever had any success with a platoon at 1b?
I currently have Ishikawa/Garciaparra.
Thoughts on that platoon or any other platoons that may work?
My ballpark is Great American.

I had Ishikawa once before because, like you, I thought his cheap 6R would be nice at DH or 1B. I actually ended up using that same platoon of Nomar and Ishikawa. Nomar worked out great (.309/.366/.600 vs. LHP), but Ishikawa was horrendous (.211/.280/.355 vs. RHP). I was in Dodger Stadium. Ishikawa might be aided more by Great American, but I'd probably look somewhere else for the other half of the platoon. Maybe Greg Dobbs??
There aren't many choices for a cheap platoon at 1B, so I might be inclined to find platoons at other positions instead.

I am currently platooning Sandoval and Evans at 1B. At game 126 or about 75% of season, their combined numbers vs. all pitching are .304/.346/.430 with 67 RBI's.
They are not great fielders, but it's good to have them up at bat. Sandoval's BA is #8 in the league vs. RHB and Evans' BA is #6 in league vs. LHB.

I'm about to try Sexson/Sandoval.
I've had Garciaparra (12 HR's .285/.330/.542) and Dobbs (20 HR's .274/.306/.458) in the Cell.

Some choices vs righties:
Overbay
Vazquez
Buscher
vs lefties:
Dillon
Sexson
Nomar
Depends on what park you're in, but I think there are a lot of successful options for a 1B platoon
My platoon of Fielder and Sexon works well.
