am I missing something?

I just played a series where the team had 2 different catchers start against left handed starters? They did not get injured, so not sure how this happened unless I'm missing something with the lineups.
Hall started at catcher against Lee
Barajas started against Malholm.

Here are the links. I assumed I'd be facing Hall for 2 games so I was a little more aggressive on steals on my manager ratings. It didn't cost me the game, but I would still like to know how this happened. (mostly so I can do it to)
there would be an advantage to being able to start different players against pitchers if one was stronger vs L and 1 against R, like Lee and Malholm.

Was one of the catchers injured BEFORE your series started?

Answer: the team didn't have their lineup vs. lefties fully specified, thus it was up to the computer manager to decide whom to play based on the matchups in each game.
