Burroughs/Alfonzo 3B Platoon at the BOB?

What do you think? I'm going through waivers in about half an hour, and then will start tinkering further, depending on how I make out on waivers. Thought I'd run with this 3B platoon - already have both guys. My division has another BOB in it, plus two Petcos...

Depends on your line-up and salary considerations Hechojazz.
Neither Fonzy or Burroughs has any power, but Fonzy can fill in at the top of the order vs. LHP. But if you need top of the order guys, then Mueller/Fonzy is a better bet.
My feeling on Burroughs is that he is better suited as a stand alone/cheap option.
Almost think you'd be better with a Tracy/Merloni type platoon for real salary savings, or do it right by going Koskie/Chipper if you can afford it... power guys who will kill in your park.

Well, for the moment anyway, Chipper's spoken for - I'll see what happens post-waivers. I'm just trying to skimp a bit at 3B to cover other pursuits. Haven't played with a consistent platoon yet, and thought that one might work. Thanks for your tips.

I'm 140 games in, and have Alfonso batting 306 with a 405 OBP v LHP
and Burroughs and .327 with a .370 OBP v. righties. Had an injury to Burroughs that hurt Alfonso's overall performance, but the package has been ok--around 15 homers total, 75 runs scored, maybe 65 RBIs. Way better than the other 3.5 million options at 3B.

What park was your platoon playing in Mr. Sousa?
