Combined - ATGIV, 2008, and 1969 games: My last 20 Playoff teams are a collective 0-20 in winning a World Series. 7 of the 20 made the Finals... but of course lost. 4 of them were Game 7 losses (two in one night this week).

Does anyone else have a longer streak of having teams make the playoffs....but not win a World Series? I would like to think someone else is cursed worse than I am.

nope...you are in fact the biggest loser!

My longest streak was 15, but it was the first 15 SOM online leagues I ever played in, so that's not exactly the same, either, since I didn't know nearly as much as I do now.

That is what I'm trying to avoid. There has to be another bigger Playoff team loser out there. :cry: :cry:

I am not proud of my 20 losses. I recall when Brian Kingman had an 8-20 record with a 3.83 ERA in 1980. He was actually proud of his 20 losses. He said "you have to be a pretty good pitcher to lose 20 games in a season....otherwise you wouldn't get that many chances to lose".

I am trying to think like Brian. I have to be pretty good to lose 20 playoffs in a row. I at least had that many chances to lose.

I was up to about 23 or so last year.

It takes more skill to consistently make the playoffs than it does to win a championship. The reason is; anything can happen in a 7 games series, however over 162 games the cream (or best team) is more likely to rise to the top. Hang in there!

I guess I misread you. Actually, it was my first 15 [b:a5472ad08d]leagues [/b:a5472ad08d] before I won a championship. I only made the playoffs 3 times in that stretch.

So sorry, it looks like you ARE the biggest loser :)
