Can anyone tell me if it matters what division you are in are and in what order you enter that position when joining a league? Does it affect draft priority, schedule, etc?

Doesn't affect anything as it is all random.

I thought your schedule was based on where you were positioned in the league? Doesn't the 3rd team in the west have that dreaded lengthy stretch of road games early on in the season?

Yes. 18 in a row on the road (games 22-39) and 18 in a row at home (67-84).

Yes but every team plays 81 on the road and 81 at home. It is not a big deal to me. This is the only thing that could be different based on where you enter a league that I can think of however.

11th teams schedule is brutal. You get 27 of 30 on the road starting at the end of week 1 . Week 4 you get 18 of 21 at home and then week 5 its back on the road for 18 of 21.

Long home and road swings do not bother me one bit. The player's cards do not get tired, or miss their wives/girlfriends, ect.
What matters to me is; how many people in my division have high winning percentages, and high percentages of playoff appearances. Especially since you play teams in your division a lot more than other teams. And to me that seems pointless since it is not like their are any real MLB rivalries.
I would not mind seeing two 12 team leagues, with more balanced schedules and 8 playoff teams. But no system can please everyone all of the time. And the formats we have are pretty good if not perfect.
Honestly I could care less if I played my first 81 games on the road, and last 81 at home, that part really does not matter.
