How can K-Rod get injured for 10 Games? He pitched in 76 games and had 62 Saves. I do not see an injury on his card, did he get hurt that much and still saved 62 games? SGT D

Whenever a 6-12 is rolled, another roll is made to see how severe the pitcher's injury will be. Sorry :(

Dave forgot to mention that a 6-12 is only an injury if the opposing DH is batting. Then a d20 is rolled to get a result off the injury chart just like any other injury.
In a no-DH league there is an injury on a 2 or 12 on the pitcher's hitting cards.
Pitchers with 200+ innings can only be injured for 3 games.
Pitchers with 300+ innings can only be injured rest of game.

I think the biggest issue is the length of injury. I think the injury system needs to be reworked for relief pitchers. There is no way for even the most used reliever to come close to 200 IP to avoid the max possible injury. I'm curious to know the most amount of IPs in a season for a pure reliever, especially from 1990 to present.

not a bad idea, maybe base it on appearances instead of IP

I knew that maximum injury length for SP was linked to IP. I did not realize that RP don't have some max linked to appearances or lesser IP.
