The Great Balls of Fire just won the title in the first season of the Finders Keepers Keeper League, due in part to the excellent work of Joe Nathan.

In the finals, Nathan had 8 IP in 4 games, with 0 hits, 0 runs, and only 1 walk. He did not waste many of his 92 pitches, with an ERA of 0.00 and WHIP of 0.13.

This made up for his play in the semis, where he gave up 4 hits and a walk in 9 IP. His ERA was still 0.00, but his WHIP was all the way up to 0.56.

Wow!

This was an interesting season: At the 2/3 mark, we were 54-54. After adding Nady and Alou via a couple of trades, we went 37-17 (.685) in the last 1/3 of the season.

The other unique element was that both teams in the finals loved playing at home. We were 53-28 at Angel Stadium and the other team was 53-28 at Petco. Each won 5 at home in the playoffs, too.
