Strat-O-Matic ATG4 card goof?!

Has anyone ever discovered a card from Strat-O-Matic with wrong info on
it? I found one where the player of the given year & team is apparently wrong, at least according to baseball-reference.com.

The ATG4 player, Fresco Thompson, is carded for 1927 Pittsburgh. Yet,
according to both baseball-reference.com and a paragraph on wikipedia,
Thompson only played for Pittsburgh in 1925, being with the Giants in
1926 and then being traded to Philadelphia in 1927 where he stayed for
several years. Morever, George Grantham was the Pittsburgh 2B in 1927
and played in virtually all their games that year, so Thompson couldn't
possibly have gotten the ABs shown on his 1927 Pittsburgh card.

The numbers shown on Thompson's ATG4 card do correspond to what he did in 1927, per baseball-reference.com, except that he produced those numbers for Philadelphia and not Pittsburgh.
