Question about the Super Reliever era back in 2002

Remember back in 2002 we had the super Reliever in effect? Remember Dotel and Hammond?

I remember TSN doing something to the engine to help discourage reliever usage by increasing the chances of a pitcher's fatigue if they pitch a lot of innings. Anyone remember the details on this?

I imagine this is still in effect but wondered if the new Bullpen v2 would help reveal when a reliever is being overused? I realize that Bullpen v2 has a pitcher's Condition feature (F0 to F9) but does it really tell us when a Super Reliever limit is being placed? Has anyone seen Kuo come in with a pitcher's condition lower than F8? This may be one of those things that TSN can't divulge (which is fine with me) but thought I would ask to see what others think.

Before Bullpen v2, the only way of knowing if a reliever was being overused would probably be his ballooned ERA.

I can only guess, but it appears to me that what TSN changed is the quality of the pitching related to a F0 state.

You will recall that a F0 state is not a static one: a reliever continues to worsen even after having reached a state of F0, down to the point, according to my experiments with the CD, that virtually no out is recorded on his card, except for DEF-X.

My guess, from playing the game both on TSN and with the CD, is that the road from F0 state down to "very ugly" is much faster in TSN than on the CD. On the CD, you can still hope a few respectable innings out of a F0 reliever. An outstanding reliever like Rivera, for example, becomes very ugly after pitching roughly 6 innings. In contrast, in TSN, the downfall to the very ugly state looks faster.
