Ballpark HR question

This is something I have wondered for awhile but haven't thought to look for the answer till now. If there is a ballpark Hr (#) on a card, is that ineffect for the entire roll for that number if the spot is a split? An example would probably explain my question better than words:

Say a batter has the following for a 4 roll in column 2 vs lefties:

#4 - HR 1-8
fly(rf)B 9-20

And say that the ballpark has 20 HR for both lefties and righties. Is the ballpark HR roll only done if the re-roll is 1-8 (HR) or is it done for any number roll?

not here. If there is a # on the roll no matter the 1 - 8 part. It is a # hr. so everytime a 4 is rolled it would be a hr in this case. it does not do a roll of the 1 - 8 9-20 part. it is always a #

hope that helps

FYI - Those splits are for when you play the card game without using the ballpark effects.
