Does anyone know when the 2009 season ratings disk will be available?

Is it still only available in a 3.5 disk?

Usually mid to late January, and as of last year, Yup, still a 3.5" floppy,
Mine hasn't worked/loaded the last 2 years and I've had to request Strat to send me the spreadsheets as an e-mail attachment, which they've done.

I'll have to do the same this year to if they use the 3.5" disk again as I have a new computer and there's no 3.5" disk drive to be found.

Try the ratings book, it goes where you do. Yeah, I know you can't sort but....

Thinking of the ratings disc, can the data be cut and pasted into Excel for sorting and filtering and slicing and dicing?

That is invaluable.

Any idea?

I purchased the ratings disk 2 or 3 years ago and it came on disk in excel format. However, I remember the positions all being grouped into one cell, making sorting by position a challenge.

Thanks for the information, gentlemen.

Thanks MJF.

I will purchase this years, and I am pretty good at sorting and making Excel work for me.

Another question: Hopefully, the data on the ratings disc far exceeds that of the file available at SOM online. Am I correct?

thanks again everyone. . . and happy Turkey Leftover Day.

The ratings disk, with some manipulation, will give you all the information you could possibly need to know.

I get BOTH. Ratings book for portibility and the disk for sortability. I also use the disk info to make spread sheets for keeper leagues that I run here on TSN. I make a players available listing before our spring draft.

the disk contains excel spreadsheets and if you know your way around excel, sorting by whatever criteria you want ( even by position) is very easy.
