Opera browser

Hey, I use the Opera browser, and I'm having a problem with it on the SN site . . . I can't login. typing my user name and password just returns me to the same screen, no acknowledgment of any input, nor notifications that there were any errors . . . anyone else use Opera? I know a friend of mine suggested I change to firefox or something . . . but hey, Opera has done fairly well for me on almost every other site. Thanks!
