Is it 650PA that only has the player out for the rest of the game or 675? Thank you in advance for answering this question. Mike

for your quick response. :)
Is the 680 rule true or just a myth?

I know The Biomechanical Man asked this question earlier, and I don't think he ever got a response.
Has anyone ever seen a 680+ PA guy actually get injured and come out of the game? I don't think I have, and I have yet to hear someone else mention it. Look through your seasons and post box scores displaying such occurrences to the contrary, please.

I haven't seen the 680+ guy get injured for the remainder of the game either...but if the player has LESS than 680 he will get hurt for up to 3 games. So the 680 is pertinent, but only in that if a player has less than 680.

I can tell for a fact that, on the CD, players with 680 AB+ do get injured for the rest of the game.

Yeah, I guess the only small thing would be if it's a guy like Pedroia or Ichiro you won't need to get any kind of .50M sub to fill in even for the rest of the game.

Sticking with the injury theme, I've had 4 players injured while striking out so far (60 games in). Why does SOM think players get injured so much this way? Doesn't seem to reflect real baseball very well.

daniel...I assume you haven't seen Chipper Jones pull his rib cage 11 times over the last 4 seasons...swinging and missing.
