How do you judge the very best teams ever assembled in SOM ATG?
The obvious answer would be the ones with the most victories. But maybe the better answer is, teams that led their league in runs scored and in fewest runs allowed. I've been in over 100 leagues, and I've only seen it happen once.
In a typical league, you'll find the usual assortment of teams heavy on offense and others that emphasize a strong pitching staff, while the rest try to achieve a good balance between the two. It's truly rare, almost like winning the triple crown, to see a team have the best offense and the best defense in real life, but especially so in a simulation like this where all teams have the same salary basis.
So, if any of you have been in a league where a team achieved the rare feat of scoring the most runs and giving up the fewest runs, please copy the standings here along with a link to the team roster. I think most of us would be very interested to see examples of teams that succeeded, either by luck or managerial skill, in dominating both phases of baseball.
