Hit & run HR? Anybody ever seen that before?

Hit & run HR? Anybody ever seen that before?

Hello everyone: Last night Ted Williams blasted a hit and run HR against me with George Sisler on first base in an ATG3 game. Williams is rated as a "C" for hit and run, but would have been elevated to a "B" since Sisler was obviously being held on first base. Although I'm relatively new to the computer game, I've been playing the board game a long time, and have never seen a H & R HR. I didn't even know such was possible in Strato. Have any of you ever seen this before? - Bernie W

P.S.: Needless to say, I think this was kind of a fluke. As far as I'm concerned, I'll take my chances any time HAL decides to hit and run with the Splendid Splinter!

Yeah I don't know the exact rules here, but I believe there are times when it takes readings from the H&R chart and times when it just goes to the Cards . . . hopefully someone with more intimate knowledge will come along but I think that's what happened, it took a reading from the Batter or pitcher card.

Isn't it if you roll a 1-2-3 it goes to the H&R chart, but if you roll a 4-5-6 it goes to the pitcher's card?

Yes. Before the Super-Advanced rules came out on this I always hated how H&R worked it strato. It was ridiculous to run a simulation and assume that someone's chances on a H&R were the same going against Nolan Ryan instead of, say, Gene Brabender. :)
