Starting after relief

Starting after relief

Trying to find the answer to this question and I've seen conflicting statements. If you have a pitcher who is both a starter and reliever and he pitches in relief in game 1, can he start game 2 with no ill (tired) effects? Or, do the number of outs or innings he pitched in relief in the previous game come into play? I [i:9254738817]think [/i:9254738817] I've seen that his relief appearance has no effect on his start, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

yeah, it'S a bug in the system, but if a pitcher relieves in game 3, you can put him as a starter for game 4 without any consequence.

Not sure, but it always seems OK when it happens.

I'm not sure if I really know the answer for sure, but I DO know that I have seen HAL use S/R pitchers in relief, followed by a start the very next game. I haven't really noticed any deterioration in that pitcher's performance as a starter in the following game.
