Just completed an '08 season where Dice-K was an incredible 15-1. He even continued his mastery in the P/O's where he won 2 more games including Game 7 in The Finals. :D

I was in league and in the same division as Jeepdriver. Congrats.

As I noted to you, using Dice-K can be real (wait for it) . . . dicey. :roll: , but Jeep used him really well.

Pitching is, from what I have seen, the most unpredictable of elements here.
One reason might be that we imbue it with more impact than it has. From what has been stated here, pitching is about a third of the equation

Hitting 50%
Pitching 32%
Fielding 18%

So, when you combine the selection of ballpark, with the [i:5187140b72]quality[/i:5187140b72] of the fielding, there are other elements: WHERE that particular pitcher yields the fielding chances he give up; Strikeout to balls-in-play ratio, etc.

Very hard to tie all together . . . You done good Jeepdriver, and you got some run for your money from a very worthy opponent, Barney811, who brought you to the brink.
