M.Napoli-3(18th), C.Davis(8th), S.Podsednik(1st)

Center fielder Torii Hunter had 4 hits as the Calvary Crusaders FC5 rallied
impressively to win in dramatic style over floundering Daily Sportsfan, 16 to
15.

Calvary bats came alive with a big 9th inning as they erupted for 12 runs on 9
hits. The key at-bat was by Hunter, who deflated the mood of the partisan
fans when he quieted the crowd by clouting a Grand Slam (his 11th of the
season). Calvary provided plenty of action in the 9th inning with 12 runs on
9 hits. Daily scored in 7 different innings, but their shaky pitching kept
them from victory.

Brian Wilson(2-0) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings. Wilson
got relief help from Kevin Gregg who gained credit for his 21st save. Scot
Shields(1-4) was hit with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and no
walks in 2/3 of an inning.

'We just kept swinging the bats and didn't give up,' Hunter said. 'If you just
keep trying good things can happen!'

I have to admit, that is the biggest 9th inning comeback I've ever seen. I guess a 15-4 lead going into the 9th isn't considered safe anymore. Thanks for sharing!
