I have Ramon Ortiz on my team specifically for matchups in Fenway, etc. Due to the rotation and how the schedule worked out I cannot use him tonight...in Fenway! argh

When you've got a SP that's a specialist, you really have to look ahead and see who you are playing a few series into the future.
It's a little easier when your #4 *SP is not too expensive as well. Then when it's his turn and you need your SP that's a specialist, you can just put him in there...

yeah you dumb ass drunk canadian!!! of course i was kidding around!!!!
i always use a 4 man SP* rotation
and ill keep a cpl of guys around that are exclusive starters.....usually lefties (cliff lee,dubose...) for when i play in shea or safeco
but it allows me to get certain matchups better

LOL ok. :D I usually go with the four man rotation like you but the draft went bad and I went for offence so I ended up with the five man rotation. I'll have to see what I can do as I have about a hundred grand left to work with.

It almost makes sense, to a certain degree to have a hard LH AND a hard RH for that 5th spot.
That would mean you carry 6 possible SP's...

Yeah it makes sense. I looked at my team again. I actually have six pitchers...but still the schedule didn't allow me to use Ortiz tonight. I had to use him in the last game of the other night's series so he didn't have enough time to rest to be able to play any of tonight's games.
Yo'ure fired!
