Starters in Relief

Postby AeroDave10 » Mon Mar 08, 2010 12:59 pm

They are vague in this area for a reason; I don't think anyone really knows. I'll tell you this, though. If a pitcher is scheduled to start, HAL does what he can to avoid having him pitch in relief prior to that. I have to think that pitching in relief will mess up his fatigue level for starting, and vice-versa. With just 5 SPs, I highly doubt you will get much, if any, relief innings out of an SP/RP.

Welcome to SOM! Keep asking questions because that is the way you learn. Here is a thread that might help if you have never played SOM online before.

AeroDave10 is right. If you only have 5 starters and they all are non * SP, you will not see one of the SP/RP pitching in relief unless HAL runs out of options for a RP in a game.

hal will use them but don't have them scheduled to start in the next 2 games of tonite's series or the next days series of 3 games. also don't have them preset in your rotation. Do have them set to pitch in pitcher preferences.
