Three words: That's just wrong!
I do feel your pain. My only 100-win team didn't win the championship.
I think it's a plot. TSN is afraid too many managers would quit the game so they could go out on top!

This all sounds very familiar! I've only had one 100-win team and it too flopped in the semis. Taking it a step further, I have had seven 97+ win teams and only 1 took a championship from those teams. But I did have a 79-83 take a championship. HAL's a funny guy!
How's this for painful - a 96 win team that misses the playoffs. Ouch.

Back in 2003, I had two 100 win teams both take rings. Since then, I've gone 0-5, losing four of those in the semis.
But I'll one-up [b:2457b5d2df]PM770[/b:2457b5d2df], with the Greatest of Ironies:

A 2006 Tour League, winning the ring with a 78-84 record, a negative run differential and a 10th place ERA [i:2457b5d2df]with a sweep[/i:2457b5d2df] against a 103-59 record team (who was 2nd in offense and 3rd in pitching).
Playoff record was 7-1, and playoff ERA was 2.13 w/ a 1.00 WHIP.
:D :) :( :o  :? 8-) :x :P

As many regular season best record teams we have all had tank in the simis over the years, it still feels a bit dirty winning a championship with a sub-500 team.
By the way, the playoffs just finished in the league were I missed the wild card by 1 game with a 96 win team. All 3 division winners had 100+ wins and the wild card had 97. I bet it won't take you long to figure out who won the championship.......
That HAL, what a joker.
