Newbie Question

I'm leading 8-6 going into the 9th inning. HAL left my setup man in there, (not really a big deal) but after he gave up two basrunners, he put in some bum instead of my closer (Adams)?

I have Adams set up as my closer and to "maximize".

What am I missing?

In my first 6 games Adams has yet to make in appearance. There have been two save opportunities.

Mike Adams does not have a closer rating. I think HAL is fighting that, and as a result, Adams is not coming in to the games. You should be using Adams as a set-up guy and have someone else with a closer rating, cheap or expensive, doing the closing.

I actually went back and checked the game again, the setup man stayed in until the other team took the lead and then a bum came in.
