Division Ties

Division Ties

Postby brooklaw » Fri Feb 10, 2006 10:21 am

My team has come back from 18 out to 1 game out heading into the final series. What happens in the event of a tie for the division? Is there a tie breaker system or a playoff game?

1) Season series with that team

2) Run differential

3) Coin flip

Nice comeback!

that's 1 thing I'd like to see changed to a 1 game playoff.

Comeback was thanks to Taguchi and Bernie Williams and their .360/ .400 OBP in Petco.

I learned alot reading the Petco comments on this board.

What I learned most was to be patient and not make too many moves.

Dumb question--is that run differential against the entire league, or run differential against the team you're tied with?
