Little help here Bernie...

I think I may need to go back to just glancing at the boxscores again. When I really look at them, I find things like this:

http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/league/boxscore.html?group_id=106885&g_id=89

My speed demon of a catcher, Olivo, gunned down 2X. The second time trying to steal home. His settings: Don't sacrifice bunt or H&Rand Don't pinch hit for.

Adam Jones hits behind him. His settings are: Avoid LH's, Don't sacrifice bunt, Steal more, Don't PH for vs. RH's and Don't pinch run for.

Base stealing tendencies set to normal.

Now Olivo is a C* stealer and I'll understand getting thrown out stealing 2nd. I won't like it, but I'll deal with him gunned down trying to swipe 3rd. But home?

Carlos Zambrano was the SP (-2 hold), Cervelli was the catcher (-1 arm).

Any insight from you Bernie would be nice...

The more important thing here is how is Scutaro set? It was most likely a botched up H&R or squeeze play where "batter misses pitch, pick card for steal results". Not a super unusual outcome.

I'll buy that for the second attempt.

But the 1st time with him trying to steal home?

The situation was 1st and 3rd. It wasn't a straight steal of home, but probably an attempt at a double steal where the runner at first steals second base, and as the catcher throws down to second, the runner at 3rd tries to take off for home. Olivo didn't make it home.
