Gagne, Lidge or Gordon @ Wrigley

I have experience with Gagne at Wrigley with a bunch of bums, and the combo was pretty effective with Gags eating up 140 IPs and 45 saves. My dilemma is that Lidge and Gordon are free agents. Does anyone have experience with these guys? at Wrigley? Should I be worried about the C2 or C5 designations resulting on replacing them with bums in the 9th in close games?

Either of the 3 would work out fine.

The C2 w/ Gordon hasn't affected the outcome of games when I've used him.

IMO though, when I use Lidge or Gagne, I have them set for setup and leave the closer option blank. I then surround these guys with cheaper RP's that have lower closer ratings.

With Gordon, I have him setup both ways BUT then I grab a cheaper C5/6 closer to come in just in case.ie. Percival, Baez etc...

4 3 33 81.0 56 21 18 113 2.33 0.91 5R

These are Gagne's stats with Mike Adams setting him up after 141 games. Numbers are skewed from 2 major spankings. Other than those two outings he's been money in the bank. The innings are low only for the fact that all 4 of my starters have 200 innings or more. Have him setting up against RH and closing both ways, avoid using before 7th.

I lost in the finals with a Wrigley team that featured Gordon - I loved him...

I liked that "it depends on your starting pitching" comment. and I opted for the following trio.

Isringhausen, Jason R R1/C6 4 2 47 75.1 55 24 23 71 2.87 1.04 E 4.96M
Cordero, Chad R R2/C4 7 3 14 82.2 68 27 43 83 2.94 1.34 4R 2.51M
Cruz, Juan R R2 6 2 0 72.0 59 22 30 70 2.75 1.24 1R 2.50M

Needless to say with Livan Hernandez as my #1, my pen should be seeing plenty of action.
