Guess HAL thought using my closer to fill in for an injured starter was the most logical choice.

And you had Ichiro batting leadoff in your lineup against a team named "Honey Nut Ichiros". Ironic.

Ha, true. You think with that name he would have tried to offer a trade for Ichiros in preason.
I also recently won my first championship. Led by Russel Braynan and his 53 homeruns.

Congrats on the ring, but your link is bad. You need to go the standings page, then click on your team's name from there. Copy and paste that link. It should have a team ID on the end of the URL similar to how your first post has a game ID.

Amazing season there by Branyan. I don't think I've ever seen 645 PAs out of a 3 injury guy ever! But the most incredible thing about Branyan's season was that he struck out 221 times, yet he didn't even lead his own team in strikeouts!!!

I got 632 PAs from Beltran ("4 injury") this year, and I actually sat him the last few series in preparation for the playoffs. It's always a good stroke of luck to get more playing time than expected from the injury prone players.

How about the AB's his OF was able to log when all of them also had risk of missing some big time. Definately does not hurt to keep the starters on the field.

Wow on Beltran there. The last, and I mean last, time I ever played a 4 injury guy was the 2007 Mauer card. Check out how he rocked this season:

A whopping 351 PAs. He was on the DL for over 60 games.
