Ichiro Suzuki was injured in his first at bat. Gary Matthews Jr. was assigned as the first choice replacement for him, yet HAL chooses the second choice replacement Josh Anderson. Is this a glitch, or did I miss something? Do the backup assignments only apply to pre-game roster changes?

Substitions are only used at the start of a game, not for in-game subs.
