Couple questions

Postby LMBombers » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:06 pm

Your questions would be better addressed in the ATG forum.

Ordinarily I wouldn't give a second thought about playing a 4 at 3B. However in the ATG game where everyone can hit and field I have no idea if that is a good idea or not.

Same with question 1. If a guy hits .355 and is a 5R he likely would hit LHP well enough in normal leagues. In ATG it probably wouldn't be good enough without a platoon mate but I don't know for sure since I rarely play ATG.

1. Not sure if all 5R guys have the same drop off on their weak side. Torriente at a quick count is 17/108 in walks & Hbp; 17/108 in singles; 3/108 doubles; 2/108 triples; 2 Hr; 2 ballpark Hr against leftys. Against rightys: 21 Walks/Hbp; 24 singles; 11 Doubles; 4 triples; 2 Hr; 3 Ballpark Hr. About 20 on base chance drop per the 108 chances on his hitters card. I wound not use him against leftys if I had a choice. Platoon him with a guy like Chet Lemon. I did Norm Cash also and he drops about 20 obp also. His numbers are approx: 22w/hbp, 24s, 0d, 0t, 2hr & 6 bphr against leftys. Against rightys his chances are: 30w/hbp, 22s, 4d, 2t, 7hr and 8 bphr out of the 108 chances on his card.

2. Depends on the team and ballpark but I would go with a 4 at third if he is a good slugger and maybe have a late inning defensive sub to put in.

Hope this helps.
