Thought I'd try an interesting approach for my 2 latest teams, as the 2009 season is starting to draw to a close.

Two $80M leagues, DH

One team was a 26 round live draft on the boards (unique stadiums). Went with high HR, low 1b park (Yankee Stadium) for one:

The second team was an autodraft. I went with low HR's, high 1b park (Fenway) for this one:

Feel free to post comments, suggestions, even criticisms (I'm sure there's quite a few out there!). Anyway, if nothing else, I'm going to amuse myself by seeing how the two teams progress.

I was happy with the way both teams turned out, both for their homepark and divisional park matchups.

As an fyi, they both are off to 2-1 starts.

Let the fun (for me anyway) begin!

OK, the Wreck dropped 2 of 3. The most annoying - the first game of the series, game tied in extra innings, and Hal leaves my closer in to pitch 4 2/3....he was already at F0, he shouldn't even have started inning 11, never mind 12!! I have Sanches set as tied and late, tied 9th +, and he'd only pitched 1/3 of an inning two games ago. That logic makes zero sense.

At least the Generic Name team swept all 3 of their games to move to 5-1 :D

I like both your teams - no reason either one won't do well!

FWIW, here's a Fenway effort from me (something you don't see very often):

I post it only to gloat. And to mention they lost all three in the semis. And to mention my last seven teams have all made the playoffs. And six of them lost in the semis. And the other one lost the Finals. In Game 7.

A pointless rant that I couldn't stop myself from writing. :o

Wow, outstanding pitching JPav! 105 wins very impressive, especially with an offense that was more dominant versus lefties. Nothing wrong with gloating! (plus it does help to study makeups of 100+ win teams)
