thought marmol would be great. so far he's 0-2 thru 15 games. ouch! allowed more bb's than K's. :(

He's got a super strange card. 25% of the chances on his card are walks. With zero BPHRs and zero BPSI, he's certainly a good value for a hitters park, but I'm sure we'll see a lot of posts like this. He will never come close to matching his stats because he's going to give up a TON of HRs in a hitters park vs. what he did in real life. He had such an extreme season that strat can't really replicate it, since half the rolls will be on the hitters card.

I think he's priced reasonably, but don't be shocked if he has a high number of losses and blown saves because of all those walks. He'll get his share of saves too.

Same thing just happened to me. I used him early and cut him. Saw posts throughout the year about his successes. Just had a team in Kaufmann with all "1"'s on D, figured it would be perfect for him to pitch the ninth. Check this out:
2.2 3 11 7 12 0 0 23.60 5.62
12 Walks, No K's, 23.60 ERA.
We've played too much to be fooled like that, haven't we? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Really? He's leading the CY young category for me! LOL

Marmol, Carlos 9.1 IP , 14K, 2 hits, 4BB, 0.00 era 0.64 whip 9 Saves

Flawless so far... I'm in love!
