I have noticed in some posting, people talking about how a team rates... guys posting (Example) " I ran this team and it scored 2400 "...

Is thier an online scoring system or a means of evaluating a team?

If anyone can direct me to a website or link... I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

JTJ has a good system. You can also make your own by purchasing the ratings excel from SOM and assigning values to different outcomes.

E.g., Homeruns are worth 5, Singles are worth 1, Walks are worth .8, etc...

Hi Stoney and DT, thanks for the kind words.

Sorry I didn't notice this earlier, been involved with my FTF league and the NLD draft.

Yeah, the system *does* assign points, but it also factors in fielding, running, and other factors including how things chain together.

DT is right, mine is just one system, but I think it *is* important to have some sort of way/system to rate your players to have any kind of success in this game.

Altec, I'm pretty sure we've been in leagues together where, if you visited the forum, you would have seen a rating for your team.

Once my Live Draft Settles down, I'll check in here on the forum and, if you've posted a team, I'll give you a rating.

Alternately, you can create your own spreadsheets. It depends on what you enjoy more.

I like to make my own. When I was given a peak at JtJ's, they seemed a lot like mine. The difference is JtJ had ratings for all players where I only do the players I've picked up at some point and those I've looked at picking up.

Joe the Jet's system is well worth it if you don't enjoy making your own.

Hey Jake,

I don't disagree at all. If you have the time to spend figuring this stuff out and you enjoy it, by all means, do your own thing. It's fun for sure.

But, OTOH, if you don't have the time, the desire, or the know-how, then you need to find another source.

One thing to think about is, if you're not doing all the players, which "bargains" or good fits are you missing out on?

It's fun to try to figure out how to rate these guys for sure.
