[i:831e431016]Update, Wed. 3/16, 4:33am ET[/i:831e431016]

The maintenance operation I performed early Wednesday morning (explained below) went as quickly as I expected, but it did have the side effect of (probably) logging you out, if you'd been auto-logged-in for any amount of time.

If this affected you, then you probably ran into a simple page that suggested you explicitly log out, and then return to http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/ to log back in. Just do that and you should be fine going forward.

Hi everyone,

We're still seeing spottiness regarding error pages specifically during the midnight-1am ET hour - i.e. the hour when games are being processed each night. It's unrelated to what happened last week, but obviously it's still annoying to you and me both, to say the least, as I know many of you like to check on your scores as they roll in. I am presently working hard to eliminate this issue as completely as possible.

I'll be performing a simple maintenance operation at [b:831e431016]3:00am ET tonight[/b:831e431016] - that's late Tuesday night 3/15 / early Wednesday morning 3/16. I expect the impact on your experience to be [i:831e431016]nothing[/i:831e431016] - I don't expect to even have to take the site offline - but I'm allowing for the possibility that it may be more than that; I think at worst you may lose your login state, in which case you'd just log back in.

As I said in another post, SN has been migrating its applications to newer technology over the past few years, and SOM is next in line. Unfortunately we've been stuck on an old technology platform for too long, which has given us a fair share of headaches, but we're making explicit investments and taking steps to upgrade.

Thanks for your attention and patience.

The sight was painfully sluggish pre-maintenance.

I have noticed a significant improvement in the speed.

Thanks,
visick

Of course you notice increased speed. You upgraded from Gerbils to Hamsters. What is your next upgrade? New York City Rats would be a good choice.

Processed? Processed? The games aren't played? Cards and dice broken out. My orders followed with exacting detail? Underemployed people from a third world country aren't rolling, checking splits, and typing up boxscores?

Well, I'll be.

I'm happy to hear that. It was the specific goal of what I did last night. I'd expect the most significant gains to be when you first visit/re-visit the site.
