An "Alternate" Forum is Coming

In the past year SN has discontinued their hosting of all fantasy games except for Stratomatic. Recently they have removed links to the forums from their front page. Now they have decided to "phase out" their forums. I e-mailed Stratomatic asking how this would affect the Strat boards, which are going strong, and received the following reply:

When the old boards were discontinued in 2005 they were not archived.
I hope that's not the case this time.

It is a lot annoying when sites "improve! and UPgrade!" and take things AWAY from it's customer base.

This was the case with JetBlue: "We're UPGRADING our points system!!!" :!:

Translation? "We're about to screw you!"

This may be an extreme case, but I would be annoyed if these archives are gone.
