How much pitching do you really need???

This is a question that I always fight with. In a stadium like McAfee how much $ should one spend on starting pitching and relief. I have right now

Myers - 5.03
Carpenter - 4.56
Guthrie - 3.94
Zito - 2.48
Axford - 3.40 (main bull pen guy)

I know it is early but record is 6-15, swept the last two series..

Maybe I don't have the right type of hitters???

Suzuki-RF
McCutchen - CF
Murphy - LF
Prado - 2B
Ramirez-SS
Butler - 1B
Holiday - DH
Mora - 3b
Oliva - C

My whip's are really good, but am not scoring hardly any runs. Maybe it is still early but only a 5% penalty for making roster moves right now, I am just concerned this could be a very long season. Should I look for some more power maybe in a trade?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, not batting order, but line-up

In a pitching environment, you are using a 3 @ 2B and SS. A few hits are going up the middle.

You are also using a 4 @ 1B.

Your INF is giving up ALOT of hits.

You must have the cards confused...2010 set....Prado is a 2 at 2b, and Ramirez is a 1 at ss...so that isn't the issue...

a link to your team would be easier to help...

but a quick look your team seems to be much better vs LHP than RHP. Seeing as in most leagues you will face around 75% RHP, that could be a big issue as to why your offense is failing. Couple that with a lot of your guys having decent BA/OB but not a lot of TB's (i.e. doubles and pure HR's) your SLG will be a bit low. You probably end up with a lot of games where you have 8 hits but sore 2 runs.

Here is a link to my team. I have only changed up a couple of my starters since the beginning of the season and my CF (which worked out well).

As you can see my team's offense is bad...244/.302/.380

Not really sure what to do, just suffer and learn I guess....
