Question Regarding Leagues with Live Drafts

I'm thinking about joining a league with a live draft. I've never joined one before and I have some questions.

1. Where do you "report" to participate in the draft? Is there a particular site or link that you have to log on to?

2. When you're selecting players, is it the same type of set up when you select your draft card in non-live drafts? In other words, is there a master list of players that you can sort by position, stats, etc.? If so, are the players removed from the master list once they've been chosen, or do you have to keep track of the players that have already been chosen?

3. There's no salary cap, right?

4. Of the people who have played in live draft leagues before, how do they stack up against the regular leagues (non-live draft)?

1. You can click on the link to your team on the main SOM page under "My Teams" within 30 minutes of the start of your draft. You may want to go to the Rules/FAQ to make sure your computer has all the necessary configurations (I'm not a computer guy, but they explain it better there)

2. You can sort by position and within that by OBP, BA. 2bs, etc. Drafted players will disappear (make sure the "Hide Drafted" button is checked) but its a good idea, in my opinion, to have a list of the players handy and scratch them off as it goes.

3. Correct, no cap.

4. I like them. Just like any fantasy league, draft night is a lot of fun. I try to play at least 1 per season (I'll typically play 7-10 20xx seasons). One note of caution - beware a league with a bunch of brand new players without SOM experience (ratings of zero). They tend to cut a lot of players way too quick after slow starts, so the league balance can get out whack. Its also much easier for less scrupulous players to collude in a live uncapped league v. $80M for example.

Hopefully this helps. Good luck on draft night!
