thoughts?

now that i have done more research i can self analyse this weak team.

starting pitching is okay but not great

closer is fine

bull pen is okay but not great

middle of lineup is powerful

cf,2b,ss,3b are VERY weak

cruz`s injuries will wipe out RF

my first effort will be a flop unless others have also drafted poorly

You can not have that many weak spots in your lineup and be successful.

too much coin spent in the pen...Hl will use match ups well if he has the right options....there are plenty of 1.5 or less guys you can use.

You cannot win with 2 or more 3's up the middle

This is rule #1 with most long time players. Your SS 2B and CF need to good range with low errors and a good arm in CF. I have tried poor fielders there and rule #1 is a good rule to follow.

Case in point. This is a theme league so you can do different things but here is Osvaldo Martinez ss-3e36 line at SS. 71 games 22 errors. He has slowed down on the errors lately as he was playing middle striker early on and booting the ball just about once every game. Last night he scored to goals with fine kicks in 1 game and forget about double plays. The guy can hit for average though!

good grief-this first try makes the playoffs!!

A weak division to be sure as we are 8 in front while playing at .516. I think this first effort will always be a favorite as they seemed like scrappers. I don`t think we will do much in the post season but like y`all say-once you get in you never know.

And now to the finals!!
