While we are doing upgrades, I'd like to see some adjustment in playoff injuries. As we just saw with Josh Hamilton and others, players are going to play with injuries in the playoffs that they would have sat out with during the regular season. Maybe you could program to reduce each injury during the playoffs by 50% (out 3 instead of 6, or out 5 instead of 10), and then have them subperform for the second 50% of the injury period. Pitchers you could just start as fatigued during an injury period -- you probably need to add something for hitters -- maybe reduce their effectiveness by 10%. Then you can make the choice to play your subperforming injured player or start someone healthy. I've seen too many short playoff series turned both ways by an injury (I just won game 5 in the 70s last night over a 109 win team with a 29 win starter that lost 2 of its best hitters in game 4).
