I'm the all-time #1 most average manager.

On average, a manager will have a .500 lifetime record, will make the playoffs one in every three tries, and will win the finals one in every twelve times (assuming 12-team leagues).

After 48 teams, I have:

3888 wins
3888 losses
16 playoff appearances (16/48 = 1/3)
4 championships (4/48 = 1/12)

The last category may become 5 instead of 4, since I'm in the playoffs with my current team. But I won 102 games, so I figure that means I won't win the finals ...

Incidentally, the current team won 102 games with only 102 home runs -- maybe that IS a record:

Impressive record.

Were I in your shoes I'd be rooting for the current team to lose in the finals, then retire. Just let the freebie go.

Hey Wachovia, you are Even Steven. That is pretty amazing. Since I know you play in some of our tough theme leagues, a .500 record is an accomplishment against some of the best. I'm personally at 33,502-33,239 (.502). The way I've been playing lately, I may at .500 exactly soon enough!

Flaxen -- I face J-Pav in round one (the wild-card, he "only" won 94 games), so I don't even have to root ...

ehlekev -- thanks for the props, I appreciate it. In one theme league I sucked, in the other I was really good, so as usual the sum total was ... average. But it's good of you to point out that the competition is often fierce. In fact, I haven't been at .500 since the 26th game of my very first team, which started 13-13. Ever since game 27 of my first team, until game 162 of the current one, I was below .500 lifetime.
