so im up by 1 game in the WC race and 3 teams are within 3 games.
here is the team:
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=352633&stats=sim&onroster=1
there are 15 games left, 6 are against the first place team, 6 against the last place team, and the other 3 against a team 2 games behind me in the WC race.
Do i get in, and can this team make a run for the title if it does make the playoffs?

Short answer: maybe and yes.
You put your team in position where it has a chance. Now you just have to hope your "good" team shows up for that last 15 games and, hopefully, the playoffs. Once you're in the playoffs, be optimistic. The forums are filled with stories of teams that dominate in the regular season only to lose to the wild card team.
My 90s team is in a similar position to yours: 1 game out of first and two games ahead in the wild card. Essentially three teams in the same division are fighting for two playoff spots. My team has been amazing for stretches and dismal in others.
Here's hoping our "good" teams show up in the last 15 games in our respective leagues!

I think so. You got some hot hitters. If they can stay hot then sure you can get in.
I love how well Torres is hitting. All those extra-base hits and the nice OBP. Add his defense and you got a stud card!
Cano is out of his mind hot. Looks like he's maxed his potential. I've had that happen for me with Michael Young in a different season.
Hart and Wright are also delivering for you. I think Wright still has some HRs left in his card though. I might bat him fifth the final 12 games.
I hope Morneau stays healthy the final nine games for you. He's a difference maker when healthy.
Congratulations man. You've already had a very successful season.

A couple heart-breakers tonight. But your offense is still in the game. And Morneau comes back! He needs the whirlpool after each inning.

big series tonight. My team has been scoring lots of runs, but its a bummer to score almost 30 runs in a series and lose 2 out of 3

If Morneau stays healthy that will kick Aviles to the bench. That is a major difference. might be what you need to get the job done and get in the playoffs.

You made some heady pickups with Abreu, Boesch, and Hart too. I don't recall Hart on your team right away. Was he traded for?
Down to the last series and you're playing the team you're tied for first with. WOW!
