I see that there are 3 playoff rounds. Does that mean 8 teams, or six with two byes? And can the wildcard teams come from any division?

Thanks.

I want to get in on a 24 team season but I wanted to hear the playoff breakdown and if there was a change in free credits awarded. If there are the same amount of credits as a reward for double the teams I don't want to do it. Hopefully somebody can answer this and Didoa7S0's question.

There are 8 teams in the playoffs. The wild cards are the 4 best teams that didn't win a division and come from any division.
The champ wins 3 credits. Runner up wins 2. I don't think anyone else wins a credit but I could be wrong about that.

The 4 division winners each get a credit. Loser of the finals gets a credit and Champ gets 2 credits, so there are 7 total credits given.

Interesting. So, if you win a 24 team league as a wild card you don't get any additional benefit than you would have had in a 12 team league.

Here's what the "Rules/FAQ" say:

For 12-team leagues:
- the winner of the Finals: receives 2 free credits
- the loser of the Finals: receives 1 free credit
For 24-team leagues: (with postseasons starting on or after 8/21/11)
- the 4 Division Winners: each receive 1 free credit
- the loser of the Finals: receives 1 more free credit
- the winner of the Finals: receives 2 more free credits

So, 24-team league has 7 credits while 2 12-team leagues would have a total of 6 credits.
