looking for some opinions: I have Pujols and Votto in a keeper league and need a #1 or #2 quality starter
would you try and trade Pujols for that starter and a DH replacement

Hmm wonder what league that's in??
You should just trade him to me for a bucket of balls and a hardy pat on the back.
Seriously though, If it were me with your team, I'd be looking to move him, but it would have to be for more than just a SP, unless it was Verlander...

keeper leagues are a different creature, so just saying whom you have isn't enough.
But with very little info, normally yes you would trade from a strength to fill a weakness.
But again, there aren't a ton of guys who will be 7+ mil every season, even if it's only for a few more years. You better get a damn good SP for your $$, probably not Verlander, but maybe a CJ Wilson/D Price level + a cheaper hitter.

Keep Pujols ... trade Votto.
