Bernie:
I know many managers in my league like to look at their teams while at work and make adjustments for the upcoming games.
Most manager now can see the game site while others are blocked by their employer's firewalls.
When this on-line game moves to the Strat O Matic website it would be a great help if there are no words in the to be created link that activates the firewall to prevent viewing at work.
Maybe a few tests can be ran before the final one is decided on.
Some words we have all known to turn on a firewall are sport, sports, baseball, fantasy, etc...
Maybe others can send in more words they have experienced to cause a firewall block to them for the game site.
Thanks,
Shoop

I know how you feel.
the other problem is you want the site to be found when people search for those things. If remove those meta-tags, you will lessen the chance of new blood finding the site.

Avoiding the word "fantasy" in code string would help. Most companies block that word.

Yeah I think it is the word Fantasy that is doing it. I can access SportingNews at my work but not the SOM part of it because it is listed in FANTASY baseball which must be a blocked word.

Also don't use the word "Game" or "Games". I was told by an IT guy that this and the word Fantasy are common words that are blocked.
I think the name of the link should be "Crucial Work Information". I doubt that would be blocked. 8-)

And then there are some who dont have access to a computer at all while at work.
...and this is fair... how?
Bernie, while you're at it, please code the website so I could telepathically check my teams and make lineup changes while I'm at work.
The URL needs to reflect what the website is. I wont be feeling bad just because you can't access a gaming website while you guys are at work.
Should not be considered IMO. Not fair to you? Not fair to me either.

Yes, really.
Just my opinion. Not saying I'm right or wrong, just chiming in with how I feel about it.

At work, I could access most sites, including TSN/SOM.
However, once while on a road trip, I had to stop for a minor car repair. My eyes lit up when I saw a computer available in the waiting room. Unfortunately, the message I got when I tried to access my team made me certain the IT Police were on their way to escort me off the premises, even though I was just a customer. Trying to access a sports-related site--how dare I!
Luckily, I evaded capture until the repairs were completed.
