There is no way that Jeff Francouer will come anywhere near 47 Doubles with the card that he has. He has a better chance at 47 Homeruns than 37 Doubles let alone 47.
I have him only 15 game in and 47 AB but only 1 Double and that is his only extra base hit. This guy will be a bust this year and that sucks.
He had a Career year and it won't show in Strat-O-Matic. His card is nowhere near the year he had.
Yes I am at a hitters park. Gr Am Ballpark and he is .170/.264/.192 I know it is early but his card is bad for Doubles.
I drafted him in a early draft league before the cards came out.

I'm a Francouer fan (yeah, there are a few of us), but with his amount of plate appearances, the numbers probably won't translate.
You have to weigh what a 2(-5) RF with 600+ PAs is worth, along with the hitting he WILL get.

I'm confused because I see lots of double chances on his card.

In my league to-date, 15 games played per team.
Francouer has 56 at-bats in 14 games - 7 doubles. He is tied for 2nd in the league in doubles, despite appearing in one less game than the other category leaders.
Unfortunately, he's not on my team.
36 games in

I crunched the numbers on his card for you.
Assuming a 70/30 split for AB's vs RHPs and LHPs, his card will produce 55.167 doubles in 600 chances. Cut that in half for results that land on his card and his card will produce 27.58 doubles in the 300 ABs.
How good are the pitchers in your division? Is he facing a lot more LHP's than 30%, if so that is why his HRs are up.
the 3-8 (.75 split), 3-9 (.75 split), 3-10 (clean) vs RHPs will yield a LOT of doubles.

Well Francouer is spending much of his time on the DL now. He has missed 15 of the first 81 games.
In 237 AB's he now has ripped 8 doubles. That's right he has more than doubled his doubles after 36 games from 3 to 8. He does have 10 HR's and is pounding out a .224/.310/.392 clip.
