Hungus's Nihilists of The Lake Eerie League keep playing with 2 second basemen on the field in the late innings. Thats what I said....2 second basemen. This the 4-5th time so far this season that this substitution has occurred. Doesn't seem fair ...how could anything ever get through the infield?

Check this out....

He isn't really playing two 2bs, its just one of those HAL quirks where excessive substitutions get made. Looks like Ellis came in at 2b and then immediately Herrera came in to replace him at 2b.

I had a game in an an 80s league years ago where someone was either injured of PHed for. The next inning HAL made about 15 moves shuffling all of my players into different positions and then back. HAL does this from time to time.

Ellis was lifted for a PH the inning before

Sounds just like Splinter.......the manager...... to try and sneak Ellis out there at 2B when he had been lifted the inning before. Does Splinter have no shame?

or of course it could be a programming error.

I prefer the Splinter sneakiness scenario because it's more fun.

unless, of course, you're doing the old double sneek on us. :P

I've only heard rumors of the double sneak and didn't even believe that it existed. Leave it to Splinter. :P

SOM has a patch if TSN is using the new version

Which Bernie probably must to be to use the 2011 cards:

FIXED IN VERSION 2012G PATCH
......
3) Players were sometimes starting games at positions they were not rated
for even though other players who were rated for that position were available.
NOTE: It is impossible to completely eliminate this possibility as injuries
and player usage settings sometimes result in having no players available
at a given position. In those cases the code tries to substitute a player
who plays a similar position (for example, a second baseman for a short stop).
.....

Maybe this addresses it.
