I like, save for 2 things.
Shirley there is a better CF than Jay?
And I personally don't like to spend 3.6 mil on someone to get 60 innings, while the .8 mil guys get 120. unless you are setting your SP to go as far as possible every game, then never mind.
skim pickings there in cf and yeah, everyone but jackson

looks like you dumped quite a few of them like tabata, werth, pressly, heisey jennings, and reddick. I can tell you in the 80m league im in, sandoval's the only one from that original list of players that's on a roster.

In my opinion, this team is very poorly constructed. Way too much on hitting and not enough on pitching. The bullpen will get eaten alive. That offense is overkill and most of those players are not very good defensively. The softball strategy sometimes works in ATG, but it very rarely works in 2011.
I think ur stuck in atg mode

im running two of the first sets in 2011, and if you thought the 2010 set was a deadball set, 2011 is right there
im 64-56 with an 80 mil team where good ol edwin is 10-5 with a 3.10 era and 1.25 whip....from a 690k pitcher. 21mil on pitching 55 mil on offense
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=378080&stats=sim&onroster=1
only two players over 1.000 ops, and craig is one of them only missed 22 games so far.
the other is 100mil frenzy where cc is my most expensive pitcher at 4.31 (and worst) spent 30 mil on pitching 65 mil on offense
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=378067
Sandy 900 ops missed 35 games of 121, craig 10.27 ops missed 45 games of 121.
My point, if you can get 100 games from guys like craig, longoria, pablo, punto in this set, why wouldn't it work. And sorry but overspending on pitching in this set is a one way ticket to sub 500 record in my opinion

I have 3 teams going right now. My best team is 10 games over .500. My other 2 teams are awful to say the least.
I spent $26mil on pitching and they are 3rd in pitching and 9th in hitting. This year might be the year of the throw out the rules. The other 2 teams spent 34 and 39MIL on each. They are 100MIL leagues though.

To prove your point, here is a team w/ less about $10mm on pitching in 1st place and holding down the #4 spot in ERA.
http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/team/team_other.html?user_id=381044
On the other hand, here is a team w/$36 spent on pitching also in 1st place w/ a sub-3.00 ERA.

I'm hoping this is the set where everything I try is the ticket to a successful team and all I can say is that it's about ******* time.
both teams are interesting

man the defense on your high priced pitching staff is pretty terrible, but seems to work.
i almost always finish top 5, mostly top 3 for pitching in just about any set i play in ( i have tons of accounts, sorry but the 14.95 for two teams is an awesome deal and sporting news doesnt even check emails).
the problem for me is finding the right hitters, for the right price, for the right park, agaisnt the right distribution of pitchers........thats a lotta "rights"
and the two hold bcks for me until recently have been defense and the injury. i used to never take anyone more than an injury 2 and the defense has to be something close to under team "e" rating of 60-70 in 20xx sets, 80-90 in the mystery sets. 1,2 in cf, ss, 2b, low e 1 to 3 at 1st,3rd and the corner OF i tend to lax on whichever one is oppisite the majority of my pitchers. (IE lots of rh pitchers, great RF defense)\\
Its a formuly where the team seems to pick it up at the end of the year so my struggles are alway after the first 80games. if im within shouting distance, im golden for playoffs. however, check out the wtf hal posting from me (mosser1979) and see my frustrations
