Could these guys end up getting a 1-18 base running rating for 2012? Has there ever been a rating that high? There have been some very fast base runners in the past so if there has never been a 1-18 I guess not but fielders better not mess around with the ball when these guys are running.

Trout especially is extremely fast.. Harper isn't as quick, but he is still pretty damn fast. Trout is really the faster dude though.

The ATG experts would know better, but I rememebr Mickey Mantle being a 1-18 or 1-19 guy in one particular year when I played SOM with the cards and dice.

yea Bourjous is fast as well, well faster from First to home. Trout has such acceleration though, much faster for straight 90 feet.

Fastest guys I ever saw -- or seemed to be -- from home to 1st were early Ralph Garr, Wally Backman and Willie Davis.

It's said that Mantle was 3.2 down to first. Seems impossible to me, but who knows.

Ben Revere is an absolute BLUR. His only caught stealing this season was getting tagged out for over-sliding at 2nd base. Also, no fly ball is safe on his side of the field. My wife's cats have better arms than Revere, but that's a different subject!

Am I correct in remembering a 1-18 Willie Davis from my table top days?

Maybe Tommy Davis from his monster 62 season?

And have we all forgotten a guy named Deion Sanders?

No, Deion Sanders was a 1-15. He would have been a 1-18 were it not for his ego weighing him down! 8-)

and the jewelry!

I was not citing his card...but his real life speed

he went from the plate to 3rd faster then 95% of the players go from 1st to third

and you better come up throwing from the outfield if he is on 1st with nobody in front of him....he could score
